HOLT TO VISIT LATINO HEALTH CARE INITIATIVE AT HUNTERDON MEDICAL CENTER; PRESENT CHECK FOR $87,000

Who: Rep. Rush Holt (NJ-12) Robert Wise, President & CEO, Hunterdon Medical Center Terry Shlimbaum, MD, Medical Director, Phillips Barber Family Health Center Maria Montano, Hunterdon Healthcare System Outreach Coordinator
What: Rep Rush Holt will present a check for $87,000 to Hunterdon Medical Center officials for its Lambertville Latino Healthcare Initiative. The project, which began in 2005, is a partnership between Hunterdon Medical Center and other community partners, including the county's health and human services departments and diversity council. The federal funds will help sustain, expand, and enhance the project so it can meet the healthcare needs of the growing Latino community.
Holt will meet with health and Hispanic leaders and discuss outreach and care for Hispanics in the area.
